BLUES ON BROADBEACH MUSIC FESTIVAL
Seventeen years after its humble beginnings, the multi-award winning Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival has grown to become an event of international standing, boasting a stellar local and international line-up. Over 60 artists will perform at the Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival, May 17-20.

2018 Headline Acts
Robert Cray has been bridging the lines between blues, soul and R&B for the past four decades, with five Grammy wins and over 20 acclaimed albums. During the 90s the Cray Band was featured in concert with artists like Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, John Lee Hooker, BB King and Bonnie Raitt, who declared that the band puts on one of the best shows you’ll ever see.
The 2018 festival is also hosting another special event, with The Star Gold Coast offering blues fans a free and exclusive concert, with the chance to get up-close and intimate with JON STEVENS on the 18th May. The New Zealand star, formerly of Noiseworks, Jesus Christ Superstar and INXS fame, has recently teamed up with Dave Stewart from Eurythmics to record his new album, Starlight. Following packed out concerts for Diesel and Russell Morris for the 2016 and 2017 Blues on Broadbeach Festivals, The Star is excited to once again be hosting the free event with Jon Stevens taking the stage in the Theatre on Friday May 18.

Tickets are FREE and are available to be collected in person from the Box Office at The Star Gold Coast. A first release of tickets will be available from 9am on Friday 11 May until the allocation is exhausted. A second and final release of tickets will be available from 9am on Friday 18 May until the allocation is exhausted.
The festival highlights the best parts of the Sunshine State, with 20 performance areas both on the stunning beachfront and throughout the vibrant streets of Broadbeach, amazing food at local bars and restaurants, and activities for all ages throughout the festival precinct. The first announcement of the line-up also features five acts from the Gold Coast and surrounds, showcasing Australia’s best local talent to its thousands of daily visitors.
