Jason Delphin Music

Jason knew his career path the moment his punk rock band The Charlie Parkers won early acclaim in 2003 taking out Triple J Unearthed with his song ‘Something Wrong’ which featured on Home and Away for several years.

The Charlie Parkers went on to support some significant players at the time including Grinspoon, Frenzal Rhomb, Silverchair and Violent Femmes. With a strong desire to write and compose his own music and to learn more sophisticated techniques, Jason studied music at the University of Tasmania. Embarking on a solo career and relocating to Queensland, Jason’s style developed evoking a more blues Indie character which later took on the nature of ‘cow punk’ which is a combination of jazz/blues/rock.

He has played over 300 gigs around Australia and has performed in Thailand and Bali. Working as a full one-man-band setup utilising a kick drum, snare drum, high hats, loop station, Jason effectively produces the sound of a complete band. Recent times he has produced, mixed and released his first self-titled blues, cigar box album and in 2016 produced, engineered and released his single ‘Midnight Woman’ a sultry 5 minute groove reminiscent of the psychedelic synthesised tones of the 60’s.
