Jimi Hocking’s Blues Machine

Jimi Hocking is a songwriter, singer and guitarist of the highest calibre, the electric love child of T-Bone Walker, BB King and Jimi Hendrix. He struts the stage with his band, playing his showy guitar style while pulling all the classic stunts ... behind the head ... the duck walk ... even the splits.

Jimi is in his element live on stage, wailing guitar and mandolin with superb song writing and performance makes him one of the 'must-see' acts in blues today.

Along with collecting gold records with The Screaming Jets and a stint with rock legends The Angels, Jimi has released 13 solo albums, from electric blues-rock, to solo acoustic and blues mandolin.

HI accolades are many including three time ‘CAV-Best Acoustic performer’, ‘MBAS 2003 Male Blues Artist of the Year’, ‘MBAS 2004 Blues Performer of the Year’ and in 2005 Jimi won the prestigious ‘International Blues Challenge’ in Memphis USA.

If all that ain't enough, Jimi has also written music for film and TV, and recorded and played for many other artists in a career now spanning 25 years... but he wouldn't have it any other way, after all, "the blues is for life!"
