Asa Broomhall delivers supercharged guitar, soaring vocals, vamping harmonica, and evocative lyrics, captivating audiences with his powerful musicianship, dynamic performances, and sharp-witted stage presence. Raised in rural Queensland by a bluegrass banjo-playing father, Asa has spent 20+ years honing his craft, earning critical acclaim.
He has performed at top festivals including Woodford Folk Festival, Blues on Broadbeach, and Queenscliff Music Festival, and toured with icons like Jimmy Barnes, Hoodoo Gurus, and Diesel. With five self-produced albums, including The Heat and the Rain, Asa continues to tour Australia, the UK, the USA, and Canada, delivering unforgettable live shows.
Blues on Broadbeach proudly acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our events are held, the Kombumerri and Yugambeh Language Group families of the Gold Coast. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise their continuing connections to the lands, waters, wildlife and extended communities throughout South East Queensland.
