Peter McFarlane, Mark Bergman, and Dan Hund form a dynamic, boundary-pushing blues outfit that defies the typical blues stereotype.
With over 20 years leading bands like Mission Blues, The Sidewinders, and McFarlane’s Lantern, Peter McFarlane has played with legends, including Finch, Swanee, Col Joye, and Phil Emmanuel. He is also the President of the Gold Coast Philharmonic Orchestra.
Mark Bergman, a seasoned jazz and blues guitarist, has performed with Johnny Farnham, Venetta Fields, and SFA, while Dan Hund, the “young buck,” brings raw energy from bands like Alpha Stomp. Together, they deliver a fresh, electrifying blues experience.
Blues on Broadbeach proudly acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our events are held, the Kombumerri and Yugambeh Language Group families of the Gold Coast. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise their continuing connections to the lands, waters, wildlife and extended communities throughout South East Queensland.
