With his unique finger style and soulful earthy vocals, Dean Haitani draws inspiration from blues and roots music, and his love of funk and old school R&B rhythms. The accomplished singer-songwriter/guitarist has 20 years in the industry, and has been touring nationally and internationally (UK, Europe and USA) for the last two years, promoting his album 47 Stones which reached #4 on the Blues & Roots Airplay Charts.
Dean has honed the craft of both acoustic and electric guitar, and his dynamic live performances comprise of foot percussion, a variety of guitars, vocals and harmonica.
Dean has played many festivals including Bruthern Blues, Frankston Guitar Festival, Bridgetown, Great Southern Rockabilly, Narooma and in 2019 Marysville Blues & Jazz, Bendigo Blues & Roots, Australian Blues Festival, & Yack Folk Festival as well as supporting artists such as James Morrison and The Black Sorrows. But for the first time, he will be playing at Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival in 2020!
