Jimi Beavis and Paul Renton are two South-East Queensland musicians who know the importance of a groove, paying homage to the blues greats but injecting their own Australian experience as acknowledgement of their own roots. They have played together as a duo and with a band on each other’s recording and writing projects, and then branched out on their own, with Rento’s Morningside Fats and work under his own name, and Jimi’s blues-soul band The Holy Rollercoasters and modern folk partnership The Wicked Messenger. But now they are back, Jimi plans to return to Blues on Broadbeach with Paul alongside him. This duo are looking to make you boogie, whether it be in stripped back duo or old school blues quartet led by their harmonica and lead guitar, swapping jokes, vocals and songs. Let’s do it!
