Byron Bay blues and roots singer/songwriter Tim Stokes is set to take the Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival stage for the first time in 2020!
Tim is a big-hearted man with a pocket full of songs, which remind us of who we are and what really matters. A combination of the swoon of Elvis’ ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love With You’ and the party starter vibe of ‘Dumb Things’ Paul Kelly.
Tim Stokes’ sound has the ability to open your heart, expand your mind and get your body grooving with songs that branch the bridges between ages, generations and walks of life, sharing songs sewn with hope, love and light, reminding us that the cracks are there for the light to shine in.
Tim’s live performance is an experience entered into, with a smooth, honest and comforting voice complemented by an acoustic guitar and songs that oscillate from upbeat celebrations to deep oceanic ballads. These songs are poetic images from Tim’s own journey, some songs are journeys in themselves and some of it is just plain fun.
Tim Stokes has played the stages of Splendour in the Grass, Bello Winter Music Festival, and Mullumbimby Music Festival along with many live music venues nationally and internationally, but will be debuting at Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival this year.
