COVID SAFE EVENT GUIDE

COVID APPROVED & GOOD TO GO!

Blues on Broadbeach 2021 will see a re-imagined and innovative COVID safe festival design come to life in Broadbeach on May 20-23.

We appreciate your patience over the last few months as we have carefully and creatively worked on bringing Blues on Broadbeach back in a safe, harmonious and enjoyable way for attendees and artists.

So without further ado, here’s everything you need to know!

FESTIVAL FOOTPRINT

The festival footprint has been re-imagined in 2021 to create a harmonious and enjoyable festival experience.

We have carefully and creatively implemented COVID safe measures across the event footprint without compromising what we love about Blues on Broadbeach.

Attendees will be required to check in everywhere they go using the Check In QLD app, which will be compulsory in Queensland from May 1 and will be used at all check in points across the event.

Check out the festival map to get an overview of Blues on Broadbeach 2021.

PARK STAGES

The Park Stages will be enclosed and daily check in and wristbanding will be required prior to entry (once per day for entry into both Park Stages).

Park Stages will have limited seating available, food and licensed bar areas and a dedicated entry and exit.

The event footprint and COVID Safe planning in these areas have been based around the amount of people that generally attend Blues on Broadbeach.

However, a first in best dressed policy will apply as Park Stage Daily Check In does not guarantee access to these stages.

You may experience wait times as we move people in and out of these areas.

PARK STAGE DAILY CHECK IN ZONES

Attendees will check in once a day at any of the Park Stage Daily Check In Zones.

Check in and a new wristband is required daily.

5 easy steps to check in:

  1. Download and register with the Check In Qld app
  2. Scan the QR code and check in
  3. Show your confirmation to the Blues Crew and collect a wristband for the day
  4. Show your wristband upon entry to Park Stages
  5. Enjoy the show!

Locations:

    • Broadbeach Mall
    • Kurrawa Park
    • Victoria Park

DINE & WATCH PRECINCTS

The Dine & Watch precincts will see restaurants and bars extending out onto Surf Parade and Oracle Boulevard to ramp up their Blues on Broadbeach celebrations.

Watch some of your favourite Blues acts while you dine at some of Broadbeach’s best restaurants.

Bookings are recommended and can be made via restaurants and bars.

COVID check in and requirements will be specific to each venue’s COVID plan.

PARTNERED VENUES

Official partnered venues in the precinct, where COVID check in will be required on entry each time in line with venue’s COVID Safe plan.

Park Stage check in and wristband does not facilitate entry into partner venues.

We have carefully and creatively implemented COVID Safe measures across the event footprint without compromising the experience and what we love about Blues on Broadbeach.

We will utilise contact tracing, wristbanding and monitored capacities based on the current health advice from Queensland Health in May.

Any additional information regarding the festival’s COVID Safe plan will become available via our website and social media channels.

With discounted flights available and Broadbeach accommodation selling out fast for Blues on Broadbeach 2021, we recommended booking now to avoid missing out.

If you are looking at accommodation options, we do recommend securing your preferred accommodation experience sooner rather than later. We also recommend enquiring about the refund/cancellation policy prior to making a booking – policies more flexible than ever before.

Limited seating will be available in the Park Stages; however, seating is not a requirement of the Blues on Broadbeach COVID Safe Plan.

We have based our COVID Safe footprint around the expected attendance of Blues on Broadbeach annually.

If you’re looking to score a front row spot for one of our headline acts, as normal we have a ‘first in, best dressed’ policy at Blues on Broadbeach.

Bookings can be made via restaurants on the Blues on Broadbeach website here.
