WHERE IS THE BLUES ON BROADBEACH MUSIC FESTIVAL?

Blues on Broadbeach is located throughout the Broadbeach precinct on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.

ENTRY

Do i need a ticket to attend Blues on Broadbeach?

No way – our festival is for everyone to enjoy! But if you’re looking to score a front row spot for one of our headline acts, we do have a ‘first in, best dressed’ policy.

HOW DO I GET IN TO THE FESTIVAL?

Come on in! As we are a non-ticketed event within the open area in the Broadbeach precinct, you can come and go as you please. 

 

ACCOMMODATION

What accommodation options are available in the Broadbeach area?

There are so many great accommodation options available in Broadbeach or surrounding areas. Click HERE to find out more.

AM I ABLE TO CAMP IN THE FESTIVAL AREA? 

Sorry! Sadly, there are no campgrounds located within the festival as the event is located in the heart of an open, CBD area. But don’t worry! There are plenty of accommodations options available, just click HERE.  If you are looking for Gold Coast Camping Grounds go to the Visit Gold Coast website here for all the best options – including information on backpackers and hostels.

 

ARTIST INFO 

are there artist signings? 

There sure is! To get your Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival merchandise signed, head to the ‘Onsite Retail’ tent that sell artist CD’s. Artist signings are after the shows but stay up to date by following our social media. See the Site Map in the program for the location.

HOW CAN I FIND OUT WHEN MY FAVOURITE ARTIST IS PLAYING?

You can find out all of the Blues on Broadbeach 2019 playing times in the program which is available to download on the free app or online. Click HERE to view.

 

AT THE FESTIVAL

Can I bring alcohol to Blues on Broadbeach?

Sorry! Unfortunately not. As the Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival is an unlicensed event, alcohol can only be consumed within licensed venues.

Will I be able to buy alcohol at Blues on Broadbeach?

Sure! But only in licensed venues. Remember that alcohol cannot be taken out of the licensed venues.

Is smoking allowed at the festival?

Standard Smoking laws apply, 4 metres away from all building including restaurants etc. There is no smoking permitted in pedestrian malls including the Broadbeach Mall.

ARE THERE PUBLIC TOILETS?

There are several public toilets located throughout the festival including in The Oasis Shopping Centre, Niecon Plaza and in venues.

ARE THERE SEATS AT ANY OF THE STAGES?

There are a small amount of seats available at the Broadbeach Mall Stage only, if seats are required you are more than welcome to bring your own. There are also seats available in most venues where artists are playing.

AM I ABLE TO BRING MY OWN CHAIR TO THE STAGES?

Of course you can! You are more than welcome to bring your own portable chairs to the festival. But don’t forget to be mindful of other festivalgoers to make sure everyone has the best weekend possible.

Will there be security at the event?

Of course! We will have Security based at each of the stages and roving throughout the Festival footprint, supported by a Queensland Police Service team.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS WET WEATHER?

All outdoor stages will be going ahead as planned in regards to rain and plus there are 10 indoor venues operating with free live music! We will keep you up to date on our Blues on Broadbeach Facebook if ANYTHING changes so just check if you aren’t sure (no post means everything is still going ahead). 

If the weather is deemed dangerous or risking public safety we will communicate through Facebook and announcements at the festival if a show is to be cancelled.

 

FOOD & MARKETS

IS THERE FOOD AVAILABLE AT THE FESTIVAL?

There sure is! The Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival is situated in the heart of the Broadbeach CBD with plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars, fast food and supermarkets to suit everyone’s taste buds.

does the festival accept food vendors?

Thanks for wanting to get involved! Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival operates in a precinct with a multitude of food types and options, catering to a variety of needs and cuisines. As a result, additional food vendors are unlikely to be required for this event. 

does the festival accept market stalls?

We work closely with Art & Craft on the Coast Markets to provide market stalls to the festival. If you would like additional information or would like to provide an expression of interest please contact them via their website HERE

 

ACCESSIBILITY 

ARE THERE ACCESSIBLE VIEWING AREAS?

There are accessible viewing areas throughout the festival that will be signed on the outdoor stages.

Please contact venues directly for information on accessible viewing areas.

A location at the Broadbeach Mall Stage on the Oasis Shopping Centre side of the stage at the top of those stairs.

Surf Parade Stage, approximately midway through the street  we are still finalising the exact location as we have had a street upgrade and need to look what will work best for access.

KIDS & FAMILIES 

Are there any age restrictions?

We are a family-friendly music event for all ages but please be mindful that some venues may have age restrictions due to licensing.

Is there anything for kids to do?

Yes, Blues on Broadbeach is a family-friendly music event for all ages but there is also the art & craft markets.
