About the festival

We’re proud to have taken out GOLD in the Major Festivals and Events category at the 2025 Queensland Tourism Awards.

As the Gold Coast’s very own home of blues, Blues on Broadbeach returned for its 25th annual celebration from 13–16 May 2026.

Bringing together an incredible mix of international icons and homegrown talent across multiple indoor and outdoor stages, Blues on Broadbeach is one of Australia’s largest music festivals.

Set in the vibrant heart of Broadbeach on the Gold Coast, this four-day and night celebration invites you to immerse yourself in the soul of rhythm and blues, surrounded by restaurants, lively bars, cafés, and endless accommodation options – a festival experience like no other.

For the true blues enthusiast, the Twelve Bar Society immerses you in the ultimate festival experience. Enjoy exclusive access to a private VIP bar with up-close stage viewing gardens, ‘In Conversation’ artist sessions, a Secret Show and more. Selling out in 2026, you can subscribe to the Blues on Broadbeach newsletter for all the latest festival updates and news of Twelve Bar Society memberships.

Welcome

From Andrew Powell MP, Minister for Tourism

Welcome to the 25th year of one of Australia’s most loved blues festivals, Blues on Broadbeach.

For a quarter of a century, this event has brought the Gold Coast to life with incredible music, culture and community, drawing locals and visitors together to enjoy everything the region has to offer.

The Crisafulli Government is proud to support Blues on Broadbeach through Tourism and Events Queensland’s Major Events Program, recognising the important role it plays in attracting visitors and showcasing our great state.

This year we’re expecting around 13,500 visitors, 140,000 visitor nights and more than $33 million flowing into the local economy, which is a real boost for local businesses and communities right across the Gold Coast.

It means more people staying in our hotels, enjoying our restaurants and bars, soaking up the atmosphere, and making the most of their time here.

Events like Blues on Broadbeach are why Queensland continues to cement its reputation as the events capital of Australia, and why we’re proud to be known as the home of the holiday.
