Local Gold Coast bluesmen Bluesville Station have been flying the flag for gritty Aussie blues rock since the late ’90s. Seven indie albums deep, fan favourites Ridin’ The Warrego and Castlemaine Sessions among them, the band has earned international airplay across Australia, Europe and the US including a US TV sync for Keep On Rollin’. The current four piece – Les Oldman (drums), Scott Dymock (bass), Mark Buhmann (guitar) and Brad Palmer (guitar/harmonica) – deliver a road hardened live show: stomping grooves, twin guitar bite and harp that howls. Their latest, The Smokehouse Sessions (2022), captures the band’s old school ethos; raw takes, hot mics and that live off the floor electricity festival crowds crave.
