Tom Busby, best known as half of the award-winning duo Busby Marou is stepping into the spotlight with his debut solo album. As part of Busby Marou, Tom and his bandmate Jerry Marou achieved Gold and Platinum records, an ARIA Number 1 Album, and multiple APRA Song of the Year awards. Now, working with Ben Kweller in Texas, he’s carving out his own sound—a blend of indie-alt country, roots, and raw emotion, influenced by Paul Kelly, Wilco, and Tom Petty. With his signature heartfelt storytelling, Tom’s solo debut is set to captivate both longtime fans and new listeners alike.
Blues on Broadbeach proudly acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our events are held, the Kombumerri and Yugambeh Language Group families of the Gold Coast. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise their continuing connections to the lands, waters, wildlife and extended communities throughout South East Queensland.
