Memphis Tourism Helps Bring the Blues to Broadbeach

Partnership Renewal

Hailed as the “Home of Blues, Soul & Rock ‘n’ Roll”, Memphis, Tennessee is a must-visit for all music lovers. Memphis Tourism has proudly partnered with Blues on Broadbeach for over 6 years, and 2026 marks a milestone as we extend our valued partnership until 2028.

Grounded in shared passion and a deep love of music, this collaboration with Memphis Tourism has been responsible for some truly unforgettable performances at the festival.  Each year, we welcome an artist from Memphis to Blues on Broadbeach, and past acts include Grammy Award winners and blues icons Eric Gales, Cedric Burnside, Marcus Scott, and The Hi Rhythm Section.

MonoNeon Set to Stun at Blues on Broadbeach

The Memphis musician gracing the stage at this year’s festival is MonoNeon – a funk futurist re-wiring the bass from the inside out; neon bright, microtonal, impossible to ignore. Born and raised in Memphis and forged on the internet’s wild frontier, he turned viral experiments into a global following before stepping onstage and into studios with Prince, Ne-Yo, Mac Miller and Jacob Collier. He’s grown into a cultural force whose sound, look and fearless approach are reshaping modern bass culture.

MonoNeon will light up Kurrawa Park stage from 7pm on Saturday 16th May. Don’t miss your chance to experience some Memphis magic!
