The countdown to Bandwidth is on! We’d normally be gearing up to present Blues on Broadbeach in the streets of Broadbeach on the Gold Coast, QLD, Australia, but this year we’re bringing the Blues to you! Yep, we’re counting down the hours until BANDWIDTH, our virtual music event, premieres on the Blues on Broadbeach Facebook page at 7pm AEST Friday May 15, 2020.
The countdown to Bandwidth is on!
Join some of your favourite Blues on Broadbeach artists, such as Tommy Emmanuel, Don Bryant, Karise Eden, Tam Neilson, Robert Cray and more… for a social distancing party and Blues showcase. This event, just like Blues on Broadbeach, is entirely FREE. So just grab your iso buddy, top up the bar fridge and get your dancing shoes on, as we get set to celebrate all things blues and Blues on Broadbeach in 2020!
Festival Director Mark Duckworth says Bandwidth provides a fascinating way for fans to connect with some of their favourite artists through an online platform.
“The idea that Blues on Broadbeach would not make its annual appearance on the Gold Coast in 2020 was a shock to us all,” said Duckworth. “As we informed the artists and fans, the idea that we could band together to do something virtual immediately followed.
“Bandwidth is an online meeting point for our festival tribe, a celebration of our event and a snapshot of musicians working from home around the globe. It’s a non-traditional concert experience that we can provide for our audience to enjoy. Turn on, tune in, drop out.”
Don’t forget you can also show your support for the artists by visiting the Blues on Broadbeach merch tent and purchasing some of your fave artists CDs, t-shirts and other memorabilia.
Bandwidth is a 90-minute music event premiering Live on Facebook this Friday, May 15 at 7 pm AEST. Northern hemisphere-based fans can also join in on this experience with a special encore screening on Saturday, May 16 at 7pm Los Angeles time PDT.
