Massive second lineup announced for Blues on Broadbeach 2024!

Back for the 23rd year, Blues on Broadbeach 2024 is gearing up to be another massive celebration of rhythm & blues in the heart of the Gold Coast!


With over 60 artists now announced as part of the festival’s non-ticketed lineup, take a look below to see the incredible talent who are now joining Melissa Etheridge, Samantha Fish & Jesse Dayton, Ana Popovic, Eric Bibb and many more!

Jon Cleary & The Absolute Monster Gentlemen (USA)

Leading the second lineup is New Orleans based, Grammy award winners

. As a respected session and sideman, Jon has worked with plenty of rock, blues and soul artists like Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal and Eric Clapton before going on to form the award-winning band and we can’t wait to hear their blues, jazz and soulful grooves in Broadbeach!

Take Me to the River featuring Hi Rhythm Section with Boo Mitchell (USA)

Coming straight from the home of blues, the acclaimed Hi Rhythm Section are coming together with multi-instrumentalist Lina Beach, soulful vocalist Jerome Chism and Grammy award-winning producer Boo Mitchell – son of legendary Hi Records and Al Green producer, Willie Mitchell. This all-star collective will be celebrating 10 years of the critically acclaimed documentary ‘Take Me To The River’, with songs from the film to be performed for the band’s only public performance in Australia.

Dallas Frasca

Known for her almighty presence on the mic and raw, powerful energy, Melbourne roots-rocker Dallas Frasca will be bringing her one-woman show to Blues on Broadbeach! 


With performances that exude the very essence of what roots music should be, Dallas boasts many accolades along with an endorsement from Gun N’ Roses icon Slash on her commendable vocals, riffs and grooves.

Chase The Sun

Celebrating 18 years together in 2024, three-piece band Chase The Sun will be making a long awaited return to the festival.

With a heady mix of loud guitar blues, blazing hard funk and cranking 70s southern rock, this is definitely a reunion you don’t want to miss! 

8 Ball Aitken & Friends (All Star Blues Jam)

A festival favourite that needs no introduction, 8 Ball Aitken is back and he’s not coming back alone! 


Known for his soulful and energetic performances, 8 Ball will be gathering his blues mates from around the country, to perform an extended set as part of an ‘All Star Blues Jam’! If you’re keen for an ultimate blues celebration, this set is a must-see at Blues on Broadbeach 2024.
