Blues on Broadbeach, the Gold Coast’s very own home of blues music is coming together with the city where it all started, Memphis!

Coming on as an Official Support Partner for the festival, this partnership will help bring the beloved and unique Memphis sound to the other side of the world.

“Blues on Broadbeach has built a strong relationship with the team at Memphis Tourism for many years, curating some amazing festival performances from some of Memphis’ best,” said Festival Director Mark Duckworth.

“To see our partnership continue to grow for our 2023 event, and beyond, is a testament to the genre of blues music, and its ongoing journey around the world. We can’t wait to welcome many more legends from the home of blues music to our Gold Coast stages.”

Thanks to Memphis Tourism, for the first time ever ‘Memphis Soul Man’ Marcus Scott has joined the lineup for Blues on Broadbeach 2023. Born in the blues capital of the world, Memphis native Marcus Scott will be flying down under with The Bo-Keys for a world-first collaboration.

Beyond that, Marcus Scott & The Bo-Keys is also set to host a Masterclass as part of the exclusive Twelve Bar Society membership. Members will experience an intimate chat with Marcus and members of the band, take a deep dive into the blues genre and explore the wealth of insight from their combined careers.

Don’t miss your chance to see Marcus Scott & the Bo-Keys, Tommy Emmanuel, Don Walker, Emma Donovan & The Putbacks plus more in Broadbeach from 18 – 21 May 2023.
